For doctors

AHPRA registration for IMGs, without the paperwork maze.

The forms, evidence requirements and sequencing of AHPRA registration, PESCI and Medicare trip up even excellent international medical graduates. One document out of order can cost months. We know the sequence, we know what assessors look for, and we manage the process so you can focus on the work you trained for.

AHPRA Application Concierge

Your AHPRA registration application prepared, checked and managed end to end — identity documents, qualifications, English language evidence, certificates of good standing and employment history, assembled in the order the Board expects. You need this when you are applying for limited or provisional registration, or when an earlier application has stalled and you want it moving again.

PESCI Exemption Assessment

A fresh PESCI is not always required when you change positions — depending on the role and your history, an exemption may be possible. We assess your circumstances honestly before you pay for anything more. If an exemption is arguable, we prepare the case; if it is not, we tell you plainly and help you prepare instead.

PESCI Preparation Support

Structured preparation for the Pre-Employment Structured Clinical Interview: what the panel is assessing, how the scenarios run, and where candidates commonly lose marks. You need this when a position description requires a PESCI for the role you are taking up, and you want to walk in prepared rather than hopeful.

Supervision Plan (SPPA-30) Drafting & Level Changes

Supervision plans drafted correctly the first time, matched to your registration conditions and your supervisor’s capacity. As you progress, we prepare level-change applications and keep reporting obligations on schedule. You need this at every new position, and whenever your supervision level is due to step down.

Medicare 19AB / 19AA Exemption Applications

Access to Medicare billing is governed by sections 19AB and 19AA of the Health Insurance Act — and a provider number delay costs real income. We prepare exemption applications with the supporting evidence Medicare expects, matched to your location and circumstances. You need this before starting in any new billing location.

Fellowship Pathway Document Support (RACGP · ACRRM · FSP)

Applications to fellowship programmes fail on documents more often than on merit. We prepare and check your evidence for RACGP and ACRRM fellowship pathways — including the FSP (formerly PEP), AGPT and RVTS — consistent dates, complete records, and a submission that reads the way assessors expect. You need this when you are ready to move from limited registration towards fellowship.

CV, Cover Letter & Interview Preparation

Australian practices read CVs differently to hospitals overseas. We restructure your CV and cover letter for the roles you actually want, and prepare you for the interview questions Australian employers ask. You need this when you are applying for positions and hearing nothing back.

Career & Pathway Assessment

A structured review of your qualifications, experience and goals against the registration pathways actually open to you — the standard pathway, the competent authority pathway, or the specialist and expedited specialist pathways. You leave with a written map of the steps, in order, and what each one requires. You need this if you are early in the process, or advice so far has been contradictory.

Certified Translation Coordination

Documents in languages other than English must be translated by accredited translators before AHPRA will accept them. We coordinate certified translations through NAATI-certified partners, so your translated documents arrive in the format the Board requires. You need this if any qualification, transcript or certificate was issued in another language.

Common questions

Common questions about AHPRA registration and PESCI.

Do you give immigration or visa advice?

No. Drs Rego does not provide immigration or visa advice. Visa and migration matters are referred to an independent, registered migration practice — we can make that introduction on request, and we coordinate with them so your registration and visa timelines stay aligned.

Which pathway am I on?

It depends on where you qualified, your specialty and your exam history. Most internationally trained GPs are on the standard pathway; doctors from certain jurisdictions may be eligible for the competent authority pathway, and specialists are assessed separately. Our Career & Pathway Assessment answers this formally, in writing.

Do I need a new PESCI if I change clinics?

Not always. A PESCI is tied to the position, not just to you — but where the new role is similar in scope, setting and supervision level, an exemption can sometimes be sought. We assess this honestly before you commit to the cost and preparation of a fresh interview.

How do we work together if I am overseas or rural?

Entirely remotely. Documents are exchanged securely online, meetings run by video at times that work across time zones, and every step is confirmed in writing. Most of our doctor clients are overseas or in regional Australia — the process is built for it.
