Privacy Policy

Drs Rego (“we”, “us”) is committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, how it is stored, and how you can access or correct it.

1. What we collect

When you submit the enquiry form on this website, we collect:

• your name;
• your email address;
• your phone number, if you choose to provide it;
• whether you are contacting us as a doctor, a clinic or practice manager, a referral partner or in another capacity; and
• the information you choose to include about where you are in the registration or compliance process.

When you visit the website we also collect limited technical information automatically through Google Analytics: the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, the type of device and browser you use, and how you arrived at the site. Your IP address is shortened before it is stored so that it does not identify you, and we do not use this information to identify individual visitors. You can block it with any browser extension that blocks analytics, and the site works normally without it.

If you register your interest in a role through the register-your-interest form, we also collect your CV, your Ahpra registration number if you provide it, the country of your primary medical degree, your Australian registration history and type, whether you are vocationally registered, your fellowship or pathway, your preferred locations and your availability. If you request a doctor through the request-a-doctor form on behalf of a practice, we collect the practice name, ABN and street address, your name, role and contact details, and details of the position, supervision capacity and timeframe.

If you later engage us, we may collect further information reasonably necessary to provide our services, for example, copies of qualifications, registration correspondence or supervision documents. That collection is governed by the written engagement between us, in addition to this policy.

2. Why we collect it

We collect the information above so that we can:

• respond to your enquiry and understand your situation;
• provide, administer and improve our services;
• keep records we are required to keep by law;
• contact you about your matter; and
• for doctors who register their interest, assess your registration and Medicare position against roles and, with your consent, describe you to prospective practices in anonymised form; for practices that request a doctor, check the practice address against public workforce classifications and shortlist suitable doctors.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your details for third-party marketing.

3. How enquiries are transmitted and stored

Enquiry form submissions are transmitted through our form provider and delivered to our email. Information is stored in our email and practice management systems, which are password-protected and access-controlled. Some providers we use may store data on servers located outside Australia; where that is the case, we take reasonable steps to ensure they handle information consistently with the APPs.

4. Disclosure

We disclose personal information only:

• with your consent, for example, when you ask us to refer you to an independent, registered migration agent or a NAATI-certified translation partner;
• to prospective practices, only as an anonymised profile that does not identify you, and only if you have registered your interest and given the consent on that form. Your identifying details, including your CV, are not released to any practice without your further approval. You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing info@drsrego.com.au;
• to regulators or bodies to which your applications are made, at your direction and as part of the services; or
• where required or authorised by law.

5. Access and correction

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time. Contact us at info@drsrego.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable period. There is no charge for making a request.

6. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the APPs, please contact us first at info@drsrego.com.au and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with its last-updated date.
