Drs Rego (“we”, “us”) is committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, how it is stored, and how you can access or correct it.
1. What we collect
When you submit the enquiry form on this website, we collect:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your phone number, if you choose to provide it;
- whether you are contacting us as a doctor, a clinic or practice manager, a referral partner or in another capacity; and
- the information you choose to include about where you are in the registration or compliance process.
If you later engage us, we may collect further information reasonably necessary to provide our services — for example, copies of qualifications, registration correspondence or supervision documents. That collection is governed by the written engagement between us, in addition to this policy.
2. Why we collect it
We collect the information above so that we can:
- respond to your enquiry and understand your situation;
- provide, administer and improve our services;
- keep records we are required to keep by law; and
- contact you about your matter.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your details for third-party marketing.
3. How enquiries are transmitted and stored
Enquiry form submissions are transmitted through our form provider and delivered to our email. Information is stored in our email and practice management systems, which are password-protected and access-controlled. Some providers we use may store data on servers located outside Australia; where that is the case, we take reasonable steps to ensure they handle information consistently with the APPs.
4. Disclosure
We disclose personal information only:
- with your consent — for example, when you ask us to refer you to an independent, registered migration practice or a NAATI-certified translation partner;
- to regulators or bodies to which your applications are made, at your direction and as part of the services; or
- where required or authorised by law.
5. Access and correction
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time. Contact us at info@drsrego.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable period. There is no charge for making a request.
6. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the APPs, please contact us first at info@drsrego.com.au and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with its last-updated date.
